Cherry Oaks Labradors  was established in 1982 with the purchase of our first English Labrador, Mandigos Desert Poppy (Mandy). We fell so much in love with Mandy's beauty and her charming disposition, that two years later we added our first boy, Shamrock Acres Hurricane (Charley), to our family. He was such a beautiful boy and he had that same sweet, loving disposition as Mandy. We were very fortunate that both of our foundation dogs came from such well known and sound lines. They both turned out to be extremely intelligent, beautiful dogs and they both possessed that typical, sweet, lovable and willing to please temperament that all Labrador Retrievers should have.

 

For the past 28 years we have been dedicated to preserving these same qualities in all Cherry Oaks dogs and puppies. The most important thing to us is that our dogs become part of a loving family so the primary objective in our breeding program is to maintain that wonderful, mild and gentle temperament that English Labs are known for. We also strive for supreme intelligence, versatility, soundness of mind and body and overall beauty. With thoughtful consideration to pedigrees, careful genetic screenings and selective breeding practices, we are making every effort to insure these qualities in all of our Labradors.

We were involved with showing our dogs for quite a few years and we Championed many of our own dogs in AKC sponsored shows. We have also bred out to many other top Champion lines to bring new bloodlines into our pedigrees. Our pedigrees are exceptional and contain many of the finest and most influential Champions in the history of the Labrador breed.
